Travels
One of my favorite hobbies is to explore the world and experience new and unique cultures, which is why I travel in every opportunity I can. Traveling opens your mind to different perspectives and allows you to understand the world in a more wholesome way. Please enjoy a recollection of my most recent travels, and don't hesitate to contact me if you want to learn more or if you have any recommendations.
tasmania, australia - July-August 2017
I spent my summer taking engineering classes (Fluid Mechanics) with a Northeastern professor in Tasmania, Australia. I had the opportunity to visit various power plants, among them the famous Gordon Dam. And, since Tasmania is no stranger to breathtaking landscapes, my trip had plenty of hikes and encounters with wildlife.
Marrakech, Morroco - July 2017
This marked my first encounter with the African continent and it was absolutely stunning. A completely different culture and overall feel, plus I got the chance to spend a night in the Sahara dessert.
What now?
There is no lack of future destinations, but the next adventures I would like to do are:
- Tanzania & climb Mount Kilimanjaro - one of the greatest natural wonders, and would be a return to the amazing African continent
- Peru & Machu Picchu - there is just something special in a city so high in the mountains
